How projects are controlled

A prototype should reduce uncertainty, not move it to the next order.

Every project begins with a practical review. Once the work is confirmed, the approved drawing version, production plan and inspection plan become the basis for making, checking and repeating the work.

Before production

We lock the information that changes the result.

Before material is released, the customer confirms the drawing version, material, surface finish, quantity, unmarked tolerances and packaging requirements. We also confirm the parts of the project that need an inspection record, photographs, video or third-party inspection.

If the project needs compliance documents, special components, special processing, custom tools or an accelerated plan, those requirements are checked before production begins so cost and timing remain visible.

Prototype inspection records

For prototypes, we can create a quality report, record key dimensions with photos, and provide assembly and surface-finish video according to the agreed project scope.

Next-batch control

For repeat work, the approved sample becomes the reference. Work instructions, installation fixtures, key measurements, surface-finish requirements and packaging instructions are retained by version.

Version discipline

A drawing, material, surface finish or packaging change is not handled informally. It creates a new version, an impact review and a new confirmed production plan before affected work continues.

When the drawing does not state every tolerance

We confirm the functional standard before production. That may include assembly fit, visible surface condition, seam consistency or key gaps. For example, an enclosure may need no visible scratches and an agreed assembled gap requirement rather than an assumed general tolerance.

While the work is moving

Questions are raised while they can still change the outcome.

We aim to acknowledge project messages within 8 hours, provide practical production feedback within 16 hours, and confirm production parameters and a USD price quote within 24 hours when the project information is complete and the customer is available to confirm decisions.

For active projects, production status can be shared at roughly 12-hour intervals when requested. If a part is damaged, misses a key dimension or requires a changed production plan, we send the records first and agree the next action rather than silently continuing.

Confidential handling

NDA support is available. Drawings, photos and videos are not made public without written permission. Project files can be deleted after the work on request.

Customer-owned assets

Paid custom fixtures, inspection gauges, screen-printing screens and tools belong to the customer. They can be retained for repeat orders and returned if the relationship ends.

Independent inspection

Third-party inspection is welcome when arranged before the production plan is fixed, so the inspection standard and appointment can be built into the schedule.

The next batch starts from the approved sample

After an approved sample, the product is made against its confirmed version. The project file can include the material and surface-finish plan, key dimensions, assembly sequence, inspection points and work instructions. A customer does not need to re-explain the product from the beginning each time.

If something goes wrong

The response depends on whether the part can still be sold and used.

For a CertaShift production issue that does not affect sale or function, we explain the condition and agree a practical commercial remedy. If an issue affects sale, the customer can discuss replacement shipment, destruction and refund, or replacement in a following order with an agreed commercial adjustment.

Customer-confirmed drawings, materials, unmarked tolerances, customer-specified processes and transit arrangements are recorded in the order before production. These confirmed choices define the production responsibility for that project.
